Academically, Yangyidi is a distinguished graduate of Georgetown University’s LL.M. program in Taxation. She earned honors and distinctions for her academic achievements. During her time at Georgetown, she also gained valuable experience by interning with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), where she provided litigation support on key matters such as Qualified High Technology Company (QHTC) status, property tax assessments, and state tax credit calculations.

Yangyidi further deepened her legal knowledge through two consecutive terms of interning with the International Tax Counsel Office at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. During this time, she contributed to projects addressing U.S. trade and business tax obligations for foreign entities, characterization of digital content and cloud, FIRPTA, OECD comments on bilateral trade and investment tax provisions, and taxation of foreign trusts and gifts.

As an attorney, Yangyidi has extensive experience working with both start-ups and established businesses across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, IT, and commercial real estate. Her practice covers immigration law, international corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and tax policy. • Yangyidi has successfully assisted individual and business clients with EB-1 filings, H-1b as well as PERM labor certifications. Yangyidi has also supported professors, physicians, scientists, and scholars in securing EB-2 National Interest Waivers (NIW), providing guidance throughout the immigration process.
• Yangyidi provided general business consultation to a company that manages gas stations. She also aided the company in obtaining employment visas.
• Yangyidi provided general consultation for an investment company that owns over twenty commercial properties. She also provided assistance to the company’s CPA team in its tax planning.  
• Yangyidi assisted an Iowa department for a research project, specifically focused on the tax regulations governing the U.S. workers.  
• Yangyidi represented the controlling shareholder of a company that runs nail salons in multiple locations in an ownership dispute.
• Yangyidi represented a company for a series of commercial real estate acquisitions.
• Yangyidi assisted a company that specializes in managing real estate development and other investment in obtaining an EB-5 visa.
• Yangyidi and the other managing partner, Jonathan forced a settlement in a complex wrongful death and personal injury case in Minnesota that dealt with a rideshare accident.  This was a case of first impression in Minnesota.  They also won a default judgment for over $7 million for the same clients and transcribed the judgment to China for collection.
• Yangyiidi co-counseled and won a summary judgment in Minnesota federal court against an insurance company that filed a products liability case against a Chinese client who sold the product on Amazon.
• Yangyidi recovered $500,000 for a Minnesota company from a Washington state company where there was a dispute over a wire transfer.
• Yangyidi and the other managing partner, Jonathan secured full policy limits as the settlement for 4 international clients in a serious and complicated car accident case that occurred in Yellowstone National Park by collecting evidence with various parties and working through multiple negotiations with the insurance company.
• Yangyidi represented Chinese buyers for an $18 million Hotel acquisition in downtown Des Moines, IA; 
• Yangyidi represented Chinese investors for a $3 million stock acquisition. 
• Yangyidi represents various minority-owned businesses, including, but not limited to, automobile dealerships, hotel, medical software companies; 
• Yangyidi was co-counsel with her partner in a civil case in Johnson County involving EB5 immigrant investment visas, fraudulent misrepresentation, conspiracy, and aiding and abetting.  The jury awarded Yangyidi’s client $140,000.00 in compensatory damages and $400,000.00 in punitive damages;  
• Yangyidi was co-counsel and won summary judgment of $460,000.00 against an Iowa steel company in favor of a company client from China;
• Yangyidi was co-counsel with her partner in a civil case in Polk County involving fraudulent misrepresentation, contract disputes.  She achieved a settlement of $180,000.
• Yangyidi was co-counsel with her partner in federal felony cases for credit card fraud.
• Yangyidi was co-counsel with her partner in several human trafficking cases. 
• Yangyidi was co-counsel with her partner in cases regarding several massage therapy business owners against allegations of sex trafficking and money laundering. 
• Yangyidi assisted a company in its financial disputes and tax-related matters.
